Sunrise Shell Necklace
A rare Scallop Shell, a delicacy for local octopus and other predatory marine creatures here in Hawaii, is called the Langford’s Pectin. The animals “shuck” them to the sea floor here in Hawaii and they can be found if you dive for them and have luck and a good eye. The natural array of spectacular colors has made them a highly prized gemstone of Hawaii and I honor them by using my skillful hand and bead embroidery techniques to make them into treasured jewelry pieces. This 18” adjustable 24kt Gold filled Necklace has been finished with a faceted Aquamarine and white ultrasuede on the back for comfort and style.
