Mauka Sunrise Shell Necklace

This necklace is created by using bead embroidery techniques. A bezel is hand stitched around a shell using gold coated Japanese glass beads to create the design. The shell used in this is a rare Hawaiian Sunrise Or Langford’s Pectin scallop. It is connected to a strand of deep olive green pearls with 14 karat gold filled findings.  The back of the crystal is finished with ultra suede, a man-made fabric that holds up to the elements and this piece is an adjustable 18 inches long.
