Labradorite Necklace #2

Labradorite Necklace #2

This sweet little necklace is created by handstitching gold coated Japanese glass beads around a found object to create a bezel. The found object in this piece is carved labradorite, and it has the most beautiful, yellow blue flash. Labradorite was said to have been found by the first nations people in Labrador, Canada, and they thought that the aurora borealis was trapped in the rock. It is one of my favorite stones to work with an always a surprise to see what colors show their magic. This pendant is finished on the back with Ultrasuede for comfort and style. It is then hung from a 14 karat gold filled micro ball chain, which is an adjustable 17+ inches.
