Kauai Moonrise Shell➕Labradorite Necklace
The Kauai Sunrise Shell is considered a gemstone in the Hawaiian Islands for its beautiful array of colors and rarity in finding. They are a type of scallop, called Langford’s Pectin and are a delicacy for local octopus. I hand beaded this darker Sunrise shell, called a Moonrise, using gold coated Japanese glass beads and finished the back with man made suede for style and comfort. I weaved faceted Labradorite along the edge and finished the piece with a 14kt adjustable chain.
