Hukilau Necklace
This incredible statement necklace is created with bead embroidery techniques. I hand stitch gold coated Japanese Glass Beads around found objects using my signature pattern. The objects in this necklace are raw Kyanite and antique carved Mother of Pearl gaming tokens from the 1700s. These tokens were created by the Chinese for the British during the opium wars, and each family would get a set. These carved fish each have two lovebirds carved into them and are so special. I added a 14 karat gold filled paperclip chain and some other pearl charms and kyanite briolettes to add to the charm necklace effect. The back is finished with patterned Ultra Suede for comfort and style. This necklace is an adjustable 24” and the findings are 24kt gold fill for no tarnish.
This is an heirloom quality piece that took over 100 hours to design, source the stones, and create the settings. My methods are my own signature proprietary design and this necklace is one of a kind. Made in Hawaii with love.
