Hanalei Sunrise Shell Necklace

This necklace is started by using bead embroidery techniques. A bezel is hand stitched around a rare Shell using gold coated Japanese glass beads. The shell used in this is a Hawaiian scallop shell, the Sunrise or Langford’s Pectin. It is connected to gold filled chain with 14 karat gold filled findings and the chain is studded with Labradorite, opals, Chalcedony, and Quartz.  The back of the shell is finished with ultra suede, a man-made fabric that holds up to the elements and this piece is an adjustable 18 inches long.
