Bougainvillea Earrings

These incredible earrings are from my archives, and some of the hardest to let go.  I love the combination of the luminescent carved Serpentine and  deep purple Amethyst. It is reminiscent of the Bougainvillea flowers planted all over Kauai.  I created these by using bead embroidery techniques and gold coated Japanese glass Miyuki beads.  I hand stitched a bezel around each stone and used 14 kt gold filled wire to create the findings and earring wires.  The backs are manmade Ultrasuede for comfort and style and these earrings are 2 3/4" long.
